MR JOY ELIAS – OWNER AND SENIOR TECHNICIAN
Joy Elias founded the business in 1992 and brings over three decades of specialist experience, including extensive work with foremost London clients. A recognised specialist in implants, he advises dental professionals and maintains a relationship spanning over 20 years with Eastman Dental Hospital, where he advises consulting specialists. As Director, he has significantly broadened the laboratory's service range through strategic investment in digital technology and team expansion.
MS OLGA KANDALOVA – DENTAL TECHNICIAN
Joining the Smile team in June 2014, Olga Kandalova is a key member and experienced Dental Technician who oversees the day-to-day laboratory operations. She specialises in ceramics and digital scanning technologies, applying her keen eye for detail to ensure all technicians strictly adhere to Smile's comprehensive quality management system.
MR CHARLIE FRANCIS-SMITH – DIRECTOR
Charlie Francis-Smith, appointed Director in 2016, is an experienced management consultant specialising in the SME sector, advising on strategy, including acquisitions. Dually trained as a lawyer and accountant, he leverages his legal and financial background, including prior experience as a CEO, to ensure the laboratory has robust governance, operational, HR, financial, and legal policies in place.
EWA MOSAKOWSKA – TECHNICIAN
Ewa Mosakowska joined the laboratory team in 2015 as a highly experienced and multi-skilled Technician. She specialises in digital scanning and plaster work, and also assists the lab manager, Melanie, in various tasks, contributing significantly to the team's overall reliability.
JOE GIBBS – SPECIALIST WIRE WORKER
An integral part of the laboratory team since 2009, Joe Gibbs is an experienced Technician known for his amazing ability to produce high-quality appliances at speed.
MELANIE VICTORS – LABORATORY MANAGER
Melanie is our Laboratory Manager and is an experienced and sought after Dental Technician with over 25 years' experience. Her specialism is Prosthetics and she is also a Dental Laboratory teacher at Yeovil College. Melanie ran Premier Prosthetics laboratory in Yeovil for many years and became part of the team when Smile acquired this business.
